Once the necessary paperwork has been completed, we will contact the listing agent, and present your offer, outlining the strengths of you, the buyer, and the benefits to the seller in accepting your offer. You may both discuss comparable sales in the area in order to justify the purchase price being offered.
We will have included in the offer how long the seller has to accept the offer, before it expires. The seller can either accept the offer, or make a counter offer to any of the terms.
Although you will not be present at the time the offer is presented to the seller, you will need to be available for us. In the event that the seller does not accept your offer, but counters it, you may need to respond quickly to the seller's counter offer.
If the seller does counter your offer, we will present the terms to you, at which point, you can either accept the seller's amended terms, or counter any of the seller's terms that you are not in agreement with.
When countering offer on either the buyer’s or the seller’s side, it will be up to either of you to decide if you wish to continue or end with negotiations.
The lengths of time of these negotiations vary, but typically are between one to five days.
